Boxes, frogs, and NCLEX

I have had some pretty fun adventures lately. Nicole and I went Geocaching. For all those who don't know what it is well it is like treasure hunting. I had so much fun! We had Luke help us. He is going into the marines so we told him to play marines ad help us find it in the dark. Well it was pitch black outside and we were so close we just couldn't see it. So Luke ran to my house because he was faster than my car. Literally he got home first. That was funny. He got a flashlight and we rode back to the park and he took off with the flashlight. Nicole and I did not run back we were about halfway there and we see Luke running back towards us with the geocahe in hand. We said, "Luke you know you have to leave it in exactly the same place?" Haha. I had made a bracelet earlier tonight because all of the geocahe's we had seen online looked like this....

and you are supposed to take something fro it and add another thing. Well ours was not this cool. It was a film canister and it just had a piece of paper in it with a bunch of names and dates on it. Yet again not prepared. We didn't bring a pen. All i had was bug spray. So i sprayed the bottom with bug spray. We left our mark. lol So we put that bracelet in. And it barely all fit but we did it! :) Then we decided to go down to the cool bride by the park. As we were walking there we fond a cute frog. We named him Giblet Oh Giblet.

Giblet was pretty legit but he peed on Luke's hand. So we let him go. Then as we were walking along again, we found another one. He was way more fiesty. So we named him PETE. He was the coolest. Then we let him go too. We finally got to the bridge. It was creepy late at night. Luke made Nicole super scared. He kept saying someone lives under the bridge and he is going to jump up and get you! So funny. Then we found a mouse. His name was speedy! He was fast. Then we walked back and we found Pete again. And I trained him to go on a walk with us. How you may wonder did I do this? Well apparently Pete responds to the sound of keys. We were trying to get him to lead us to his family. We got bored. Then we saw a firefly! I haven't seen one of those since I lived in Tennessee! I almost caught it. It was in my hands and then flew away. :( But we also named the firefly too. Her name is Evangeline. <3 Then it got too late and we were tired. But frog hunting and geocaching was so much fun!

This is one blog that is hard to write. I took my NCLEX exam. I took it on June 16th. I had a 100 ish questions. It took me three hours. And then found out I failed my NCLEX exam. I found out yesterday morning. And I even had to pay 7.95 to find out that I failed. Worst money ever spent. lol I sat at the computer and cried. I sent my mother a text first. She called to make sure I was ok. Then I just put it up on facebook so I didn't have to tell people face to face or even on the phone. I am also not even at my own house which has been a huge blessing. Seriously Thank you Lindsay! They have a cute little dog named Barkley. He came and sat by me while I was crying and licked my leg. Animals know when you are sad and hurt. So I cried and cried. I haven't cried this hard since I was in Idaho with Austin before his mission. I just sobbed and my friend Nancy sent me this text, "I know baby girl Just cry and get it out of the way." Best advice of the day, by getting it all out by myself I am pretty sure I won't cry as much now.I got some of the nicest texts such as "you didn't disappoint anyone but yourself. We love you regardless. I know that sounds corny but true <3" Thanks Nancy for being corny. And wonderful facebook comments like, "I'd still trust you to work on my kids." Jordan i don't think you have any idea how much that means to me. Just thinking about it makes me start to tear up a little. I have so many wonderful people who care about me and it makes this all a lot easier. And people were going out of there way to just cheer me up yesterday. From people who I haven't talked to in a long time, from people who I respect more than anything, from people who are willing to do anything to cheer me up, from people who always make me smile, from people who have a cute puppy and kitten who make you feel better, from people who share with me their experience of not passing the test as well( which helped so much because I am not alone), and from my cute parents who just love me to pieces. So at about 3:30 yesterday afternoon I got this text from Corbin, "Tattoos? We could try one to cheer you up ;)" First let me tell you He did cheer me up and it felt really good to smile. Second let me explain the tattoos, Corbin is going to dress up as Jacob Black for the midnight showing of Eclipse and his temporary tattoos came in the mail yesterday. And this is it. So I went and put it on him.

Thanks Corbin for cheering me up. He really knows how to make me smile :) So when he sent me that text I decided the only way to stop crying and to get out of the house was to put makeup on and do my hair. And might I say I looked HOT. All that crying made my eyes look way more blue! I went home before I went to see Corbin and my mom said, "Whoa Hannah you look gorgeous." Why thank you momma. And it almost did the trick. Except my Dad came home and just wrapped me in a hug and said, "You are still my hero and I love you." Well lets just say it was a good thing I had on waterproof mascara.lol But after that only a few more tears were shed during the day. Makeup always does the trick for me. :) Then after we were done playing tattoos, I went out to dinner with Nicole, Carrie and, Chelsea. It was great. I needed to do that. I needed to be with funny people who love me. And it did the trick i didn't cry one more time that night! :)

Today i am feeling better. I am still sad and thinking about it too much makes me tear up. BUT I do know one thing I am not a disappointment. That has been my biggest fear and issue the past day. There are so many people who I look up to and failing made me feel like I disappointed everyone. But I know now that I didn't. I have to wait 45 days till I can take my test again. My mom said look at it like this you get a 45 day longer vacation from work. Always the glass half full instead of empty for her. I lover her. :) So on my "vacation" I am going to study and I WILL pass this test in 45ish days. Also I am not telling ANYONE (well except my mom, dad, and sisters) so please don't ask and please don't be offended when you ask and I tell you that I am not telling you. I would love to tell everyone again but I don't want to add any extra pressure to myself.

Really thanks to everyone who has helped me through this really hard time. I love you all!

Here I come Nursing... well in 45 ish days. ;) This is my song right now... love Rascal Flatts.

Thunderstorms

I love thunder and lightning! And tonight there is a great storm. I don't know what it is but I just can't help but sit and watch it and be mesmerized for hours and hours. If only it lasted that long...

When I was growing up in Tennessee the Thunderstorms were my favorite part of summer. We would sit out on our big long porch (we called it the barbie porch because we could sit under it in the rain and play barbies) and my mom would rock-a-bye us during the thunderstorms. Those were the days.  I am going to go sit and enjoy it :)

One Crazy Night

In my last post I said one of my favorite things about summer was doing crazy things with Emma. Well Here are some pictures after we went to the park and almost died.

This was right after we got back in the car after we saw the three guys at the park. I would rather be boring than dead!

Now we are getting happy. Not so scared anymore.
Ok maybe Emma was still scared.
Now she is mad I called her a baby.
She HAD to get a picture with a stop sign. Weirdo.
She got tired in the car.
Oh the interpretive dance styles of Emma.
She got tired so she laid on the driveway.
Then the sprinklers went off. They scared the crap out of me.So I ran.
I was running. But in the process of running I kicked Emma she got hurt. Oops.
She was not happy with me. Poor Elbow.
But its ok because we found the pine cones in Mom's flower pots. :)
Such a cute pine cone. Such a cute Hannah :)
Emma the CREEPER. lol
Walking down the stairs... SHOCKED
HMMM.....
SILLY....
And last but not least... CREEPY. Oh the many faces of Emma.
She was a mummy... and I was....
GAGA! :) Oh crate paper how you made our night!
Then we got Homey joined in on the crate paper "fun". Hehe
We "love" Homey! She doesn't love us though.
She was getting tired...
And LOOPY.
But mostly Sleepy :) Nighty night.

That sure was one crazy night. But it was so much fun! I love you Ocean Emma!

Summertime

These past weeks have been a bit crazy so there hasn't really been time to blog. But my favorite time of year is here. Summertime! Here are me favorite things about this summer.
1. I am not in Nursing School anymore! I can't believe that I survived and conquered. And I take my NCLEX on June 16th. Pray for me.
2.  I get to do crazy things with Emma again. Here is just an example. So last week we decided to go do something fun. We went to Cold Stone and got our favorite ice cream and decided to go play at a park. Well I didn't really want to go because it was pitch black and there were ZERO lights. So the whole time we are driving over there Emma keeps saying. "I am taking you to your death and you don't even know it!" So we get to the park and I pull out my ipod so we have a little bit of light. Then i keep hearing noises and kept getting scared. Then we get to the parka and I dropped my spoon and i heard movement and Emma says, "Oh you just dropped your spoon." Then I looked up and there were three teenage boys all dressed in black standing there. Needless to say after that we booked it to the car. To bad our hair pretty much glows in the dark. As soon as we got in the car i said, "I would rather be boring than dead!" That was the end of our very interesting night. But there will be more to come.
3. POOL TIME! Last summer I went to the pool maybe twice. This summer I will be there everyday! Woo HOO! :) I love the sun and the pool
4. Austin Comes Home on June 25th! I can't wait to see my Best Friend. I have missed him so much.
5. The opportunity to go on road trips to visit Jessica. This girl is pretty incredible and even though I am very sad she is in Arizona, I am even more excited to go visit her and party it up! I love you Jessica! :)
6. Fire-pit time. I love going to the fire-pit after work and sitting there and telling funny stories and looking at the stars. In fact I have already been once and it was pretty much the funniest night ever.
7. I get to get a job! I want to be a REAL nurse already! I can't wait! :)
8. The SUN! I am pretty much a sun worshiper during the summer and it killed me last summer to be cooped inside all the time. But not anymore. I love the SUN! :)
Well that is all I have for now. Summer here I come!

Come Unto Him

This week I have been preparing to teach Relief Society on Sunday. I can't tell you what a daunting task this has been. I truly have been humbled. I have a wonderful topic. "Come Unto Him" by Neil L Anderson. I am not sure that when I was assigned to teach this that they realized it was mostly an acceptance speech for Neil L Anderson being called into the quorum of the twelve. But I took that phrase and ran with it.
What a wonderful phrase that is. And as I was doing my research I came across this amazing scripture.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest
Matthew 11: 28
This scripture has been the only thing I have been thinking about for the past week. How wonderful it is that we can just Come Unto Him! And He is there. Part of my lesson is going to be this video that is based off of the Savior coming to The Americas after he had been resurrected from Third Nephi in the Book of Mormon. It has touched my heart.

Super Linda! :) I love her <3
My all time favorite teacher. Karen Brew. She made a difference!

As you can see it was an AMAZING night! And without  the people in these pictures it would not have been remotely possible. I wish that some people who weren't there could have been there. But I know that they were there in spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped me and supported me along the way! And remember if i grab your wrist really tight don't be afraid I am just a nurse looking for a good vein! lol
