Come Unto Him

This week I have been preparing to teach Relief Society on Sunday. I can't tell you what a daunting task this has been. I truly have been humbled. I have a wonderful topic. "Come Unto Him" by Neil L Anderson. I am not sure that when I was assigned to teach this that they realized it was mostly an acceptance speech for Neil L Anderson being called into the quorum of the twelve. But I took that phrase and ran with it.
What a wonderful phrase that is. And as I was doing my research I came across this amazing scripture.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest
Matthew 11: 28
This scripture has been the only thing I have been thinking about for the past week. How wonderful it is that we can just Come Unto Him! And He is there. Part of my lesson is going to be this video that is based off of the Savior coming to The Americas after he had been resurrected from Third Nephi in the Book of Mormon. It has touched my heart.

My all time favorite teacher. Karen Brew. She made a difference!

As you can see it was an AMAZING night! And without  the people in these pictures it would not have been remotely possible. I wish that some people who weren't there could have been there. But I know that they were there in spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped me and supported me along the way! And remember if i grab your wrist really tight don't be afraid I am just a nurse looking for a good vein! lol

The First Day of the Rest of My Life

As I sit here and read other peoples blogs I realize that i really need to start my own. I need to get with the times! So here we go. Blog started.

This past week I completed the hardest thing i have ever done. I completed nursing school. For all of you who don't know, I have been spending the last 16 months of my life going to nursing school at Concorde. For the past 16 months I have really had no life and I didn't really sleep. I was always dreaming about care plans and med cards and the next hard test I had coming my way. But after last Friday I went home and slept. I didn't dream of care plans. I really didn't dream. I just slept. Probably the best sleep I have EVER had. And now that I have had a full weekend of sleep I don't know what to do with myself.

So I decided before I have to hit the books with studying for the dreaded NCLEX I am going to do some fun things. I am going to do some crafty things that I haven't really had time to do. And this is the first of many that I want to do. I want to make my own journal. Here is the link I found and I can't wait to try it! http://content.photojojo.com/diy/make-your-own-photo-notebook-journal/

It looks like so much fun!

I also got asked to teach Relief Society for church on the last April of the month. So I am going to actually have time to plan an amazing lesson. It is my first time teaching and I am a bit nervous but it is going to be great!

So today begins the first day of the rest of my life. Wish me luck!
